Fun Boston
Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Written to be read.
Last updated October 8, 2026.
The short version
We collect as little as we can. We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t run ads, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we collect, and why
When you send a message. The contact form sends your name, email, message and any event details to us through Web3Forms, our form service. To help us understand your message, it also sends a few details about your visit: the page you sent it from, the first page you landed on, the pages you viewed in that visit, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link (UTM tags), and whether you’re on a phone or computer. We use all of this only to reply and to improve the site.
When you join the drops list. Your email address is stored with Kit, our email service, so we can tell you about new merch. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you buy something. The shop at shop.funboston.net is run by Fourthwall. Fourthwall and its payment processors handle your payment details; we never see your card number. Fourthwall shares the order details we need to support you, such as your name, email, shipping address and what you bought. Fourthwall’s own privacy policy covers how it handles your data.
When you browse. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (like IP address and browser type) for security, and we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
Cookies and browser storage
The site doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s session storage to remember which pages you viewed during a visit, so the contact form can include that context. Session storage clears when you close the tab.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Web3Forms (contact form), Kit (email list) and Fourthwall (the shop). We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep messages as long as we need them to reply and keep a record of corrections. You stay on the drops list until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. To see, correct or delete the information we have about you, contact us and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under your state’s privacy law; we honor those requests too.
Kids
Fun Boston isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
