Using this site
Fun Boston is free to read. Please don’t copy our articles, graphics or merch designs wholesale, scrape the site, or use it to break the law. Sharing links and short quotes with credit is always welcome.
News, opinion and jokes
Each story pairs a factual summary of reported news, linked to the original source, with our own commentary. Commentary (including anything under “SO BASICALLY…”) is opinion and satire, not a statement of fact. We work to get the facts right and fix mistakes openly on our sources & corrections page. Event details, prices and schedules change, so confirm with the organizer before you go.
Not affiliated
Fun Boston is independent. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Boston, the City of Salem, the MBTA, any sports team or league, any news outlet we link to, or any brand we joke about. Names of places and organizations are used only to describe them.
Our designs
The Fun Boston name and logo, our writing, and our merch designs are ours to use. Please don’t copy or resell them. Buying a product gets you the product, not the right to reproduce its design.
Shop orders
Merch is sold through shop.funboston.net, which is operated by Fourthwall. Orders are also subject to Fourthwall’s terms. Items are printed to order. If something arrives misprinted, damaged or defective, contact us or Fourthwall support within 30 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it. Because each piece is made for you, we can’t accept returns for size or change of mind. Prices, shipping and taxes are shown at checkout.
Things you send us
When you send a tip, correction or photo, you confirm you have the right to share it and you let us use it to report, verify and publish the story, with credit if you ask for it.
Links to other sites
We link to news sources, organizers and other sites we don’t control, and we aren’t responsible for their content or policies.
The legal part
The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Fun Boston isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the site. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If we update them, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
